All About NEET 2021 Exam

NEET (UG) is applicable for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

NEET 2021 exam will be conducted by NTA – National Testing Agency in an offline mode on 01 August 2021 (Sunday), with students answering questions on an OMR sheet. The NEET 2021 exam would contain questions from the class XI and XII physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology syllabus. The exam will have a total of 720 marks, with 180 points each for Physics and Chemistry and 360 points for Biology.

Marking Scheme for NEET 2021

The NEET 2021 scheme will be as follows:

For a correct answer, 4 points will be awarded, and for an incorrect answer, 1 point will be deducted.

For an unattempted question, no points will be deducted.

It is not necessary to attempt every question; however, once you have marked and submitted an answer, you cannot modify it.

There will be several responses to the same question and the best suitable must be chosen by the student.

How is the NEET 2021 score calculated?

The following formula is used to measure the NEET score according to the above-mentioned marking scheme: NEET Score= (Correct answer*4)-(Incorrect response*1)

Important things to keep in mind when filling out the OMR sheet

Students should be extra cautious when filling out the OMR Sheet with their responses. This is because a few errors can cause the answer testing machine to become confused, and your correct answer may be marked as incorrect, causing you to lose valuable marks and your overall ranking.

Here are a few things to keep an eye out for:

Always answers with a ballpoint pen that will be given in the NEET Exam Hall.

On the OMR sheet, the applicant must write the code from the test booklet.

Just use the space in the test booklet to do the rough work.

Candidates are not permitted to alter the responses on the OMR sheet, and erasing any details written on the OMR sheet is not allowed.
