Physics is the natural science that studies matter, its motion and behavior through space and time, and the related entities of energy and force. Physics is one of the most fundamental scientific disciplines, and its main goal is to understand how the universe behaves. (1879–1955), whose work on the photoelectric effect and the theory of relativity led to a revolution in 20th century Physics. Physics is a branch of science whose primary objects of study are matter and energy.
Physics is one of the most fundamental scientific disciplines, and its main goal is to understand how the universe behaves. Physics is one of the oldest academic disciplines and, through its inclusion of astronomy, perhaps the oldest. New ideas in physics often explain the fundamental mechanisms studied by other sciences and suggest new avenues of research in academic disciplines such as mathematics and philosophy. Advances in physics often enable advances in new technologies. In philosophy, philosophy of physics deals with conceptual and interpretational issues in modern physics, many of which overlap with research done by certain kinds of theoretical physicists.
Physics today may be divided loosely into classical physics and modern physics. Classical physics is generally concerned with matter and energy on the normal scale of observation, while much of modern physics is concerned with the behavior of matter and energy under extreme conditions or on a very large or very small scale. While physics aims to discover universal laws, its theories lie in explicit domains of applicabilit.Applied Physics is intended for a paticular technological or practical use. It is usually Considered as a bridge or Connection between physics and engineering. In condensed matter physics, an important unsolved theoretical problem is that of high-temperature superconductivity Many condensed matter experiments are aiming to fabricate workable spintronics and quantum computers.
A typical phenomenon described by physics: a magnet levitating above a superconductor demonstrates the Meissner effect. The history of Science and Technology in the Indian Subcontinent begins with prehistaric human activity in the Indus valley Civilization to early ststes and empires. Other branches of physics also received attention during the period of the Scientific revolution. William Gilbert court physician to Queen Elizabeth I published an important work on magnetism in 1600, describing how the earth itself behaves like a giant magnet. Mr. Ramesh Kumar Chahal has 22 years of experience in physics subjects.
